The Keeper by Suzanne Woods Fisher

The Keeper
by Suzanne Woods Fisher
Stoney Ridge Seasons, Book 1
Let me start out by saying I’m not normally a fan of Amish fiction. I just think its been so over done, so I don’t read much of it any more. However a friend convinced to me to read this book, and I did really enjoy it. It’s still not a top book for me, but it would have o be an amazing book for it to be on my list of top books. With that out of the way....here’s my review.
Julia Lapp has been engaged to Paul Fischer for quite a while. He has already postponed their wedding once, and then he does it again. Julia thinks Paul’s reluctance to get married is because of one of two things, first the quilt that she made that sold for quite a bit of money, or because the Bee Man is back. The Bee Man, Roman Troyer, comes through every year with bees to help pollinate the fruit trees by renting out his bees for the farmers.
But when Julia’s 11 year old sister, Mary Kate, finds that out that Paul has postponed her sister’s wedding, she comes up with a plan to make Paul jealous and get back with her sister. Then there is Menno, Julia and M.K.’s brother, along with their father, a crazy uncle and a new housekeeper that all combine to make an interesting story with several twists and turns.
The characters are well thought out and interesting. They all have their quirks that help make the story fun.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

I received this book free from Revell for the purpose of this review.
